DOCTORS ARE OUR HEROES
The action, the purpose of which is to support doctors and express universal gratitude to them.
Expolight together with leading developers and active business of Ukraine calls for assistance to doctors through the https://helpdoctors.com.ua/ platform, organized by Oleg Gorokhovsky, Yevgeny Chernyak and Vladimir Yatsenko. To attract attention, like world experience, we highlighted the iconic facades in Ukraine in a symbolic white and red color scheme.
Doctors at the epicenter of a pandemic. They risk themselves to save others. At the time of the action, about 20% of cases in Ukraine are doctors. Hospitals require protective equipment; infected medical personnel must be treated.
Our idea is to use a technological visual channel for delivering information - media facades. We chose the objects that we realized, our team volunteered to develop special white-red light programs, remotely due to quarantine restrictions, started them at the objects, and organized a shoot - a 10-day marathon.
Like in many countries, doctors support symbolically lit structures in the colors of health services - the Eiffel Tower, the Burj Khalifa, the Empire State Building, the Sydney Opera ... In Ukraine, we simultaneously use a network of objects: in St. Nicholas Church, Tetris Hall - Tetris HALL, Chicago Central House, JACK HOUSE, Innovation Lighthouse and B12 Business Campus at UNIT.City, in Odessa Chkalov Tower and Greek Park, in the native Dnieper Passage Mall in Dnipro, Cascade Plaza, Kogan Philharmonic, head office Work. ua.
White and red are the colors most strongly associated with medicine in our country - red and white ambulances, white lab coats for doctors, red hearts filled with gratitude.
Light is a great tool to signal medical support for universal support. We are all safe at home now, while medical workers should be in the highest risk zone. Buildings, protecting people inside themselves, outside will become symbolically luminous beacons for physicians who are outside “on the front line”.
